Attorney William La Salle III was selected as a volunteer judge on March 19 – 20 for several rounds of the 2020-21 Giles S. Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court oral arguments, presented by the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). Hosted annually, law schools across the country participate with up to two teams of two that are judged on both the adequacy and effectiveness of their written legal briefs and their subsequent oral arguments.
Participants in this year’s competition argued questions of patent law related to 35 U.S.C. § 287 marking requirements and claim construction presented at appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. More information regarding the Moot Court Competition may be found on the AIPLA’s website.
